This is a rustic alder kitchen we completed in 2002. The distressing is more visible in the last photo when you look at the upper doors.
These cabinets have very traditional flush inset doors. This style is more time consuming to produce because the gap around each door and drawer front must be exact or it will rub on the frame when you open it. The paint on these cabinets is pigmented conversion varnish, one of the most durable finishes around for cabinets.
Today, Viktor applied stain to cherry drawer fronts for a set of cherry kitchen cabinets.
